Company History
The history of the Rusagro group is a history of progressive growth, long-term decisions, and the trust of our partners. Starting in 2002, we have stepped step by step from a local grain purchasing and storage company to an integrated trade and logistics holding with its own infrastructure in Moldova and sustainable partnerships in the Black Sea region ports.
Investing in elevators, processing, terminals, and services for farmers, we built a business that connects Moldovan producers with international markets and makes the supply chain more reliable and predictable. Below are key milestones in Rusagro's development, reflecting how, together with our partners, we formed the company's current scale.
Launch of Own Storage Capacities
Commissioning of the first own agricultural product storage capacities, which allowed significantly expanding the company's operational capabilities.
Increase in One-Time Storage Capacity
Expansion of warehouse infrastructure and increase in one-time storage capacity to 32,000 tons of agricultural products.
Further Build-up of Storage Infrastructure
Additional increase in one-time capacity of own warehouses by another 16,000 tons, which strengthened the logistics circuit and sustainability of operational activity.
Launch of Soybean Processing Plant
Commissioning of own soybean processing plant with a capacity of 90 tons per day with storage capacities up to 1,000 tons. Joint-stock company Cereale-Cupcini SA joins the Rusagro group.
Development of Port Logistics and Product Portfolio
Development of strategic partnership with the port of Reni (Ukraine) and creation of the subsidiary LLC "Agro Reni" for transshipment of agricultural products. Acquisition of shares of Cereale Cupcini SA elevator. Launch of the direction for import and sale of mineral fertilizers.
Commissioning of LLC "Agro Reni" Terminal
Start of operation of the LLC "Agro Reni" terminal in the port of Reni (Ukraine) and launch of agricultural product transshipment through own port infrastructure.
Doubling of Capacity at Reni Port Terminal
Modernization and expansion of the LLC "Agro Reni" terminal, resulting in effectively doubling the transshipment and storage capacities for agricultural products, increasing export logistics efficiency.
Expansion of Rusagro Group in the Southern Region
The Rusagro group expands its presence in the southern part of Moldova through the construction of the Grain Terminal elevator and reorganization of the joint-stock company Cereale Cahul, strengthening regional storage and transshipment infrastructure.
Expansion of "Agro Reni" Terminal
Further increase in warehouse and transshipment capacities of the LLC "Agro Reni" terminal in the port of Reni (Ukraine), which allowed optimizing logistics flows and increasing export volumes.
Construction of Rusagro Terminal Elevator
Start and implementation of the project for the construction of the new Rusagro Terminal elevator, aimed at consolidating and expanding the Rusagro group's logistics platform.
Acquisition of Crown Company
The Rusagro group completes the acquisition of the Crown company, specializing in the sale of mineral fertilizers, thereby expanding the product portfolio and strengthening positions in the market of resource provision for farmers.
Strengthening Partnership with Giurgiulesti Port
Conclusion of strategic agreements and deepening of partnership relations with the port of Giurgiulesti (Moldova) in order to optimize logistics and diversify export routes of the Rusagro group.
Expansion of Production Capacities in Soroca Region
Acquisition of a production complex for calibration and processing of sunflower in the Soroca region, aimed at expanding the Rusagro group's own capacities for processing oilseeds and strengthening presence in a key agricultural region of Moldova.
